ATLASKA (short story)

Sinopsis

Di saat Atla harus hidup mencintai Aska, Aska malah hidup untuk melindungi Tera. Sakit? Banget.
Atla benci hujan, sangat membencinyaa.  Semuanya berawal dari hujan.  yang mempertemukan Atla dengan Aska. Membuat satu memori terkesan bagi Atla.
Beberapa tahun Aska tiba-tiba  menghilang dan akhirnya keduaya kembali dipertemukan dalam segala perbedaan. Perbedaaan dalam diri Aska membuat Atla berusaha keras untuk  menemukan sisi lain dari Aska. Walaupun pada kenyatannya, Tera sahabat Aska selalu hadir dalam hidup Aska.

Report Text
OCTOPUS
The Octopus is an ocean creature with eight effective feet which it utilizes as hands. These are called tentacles or limbs. “Octopus” originates from two words that have meaning “eight feet”.
The octopus, the squid and the cuttlefish fit in with the same family that has no outside shells. Their bodies are secured totally with skin. Along these lines the assortment of an octopus is delicate. It would appear that a huge blow up. A completely developed octopus can be as huge as 8,5 meters from the tip of one arms to the tip of another. It can weigh as much as 45 kilograms.

Descriptive text
RAJA AMPAT
Raja Ampat or The Four Kings is a famous island located off the northwest tip of Bird's Head Peninsula on the island of New Guinea, in Indonesia's West Papua Province. It is well known as a diving heaven for people around the world. 
Raja Ampat covers 9.8 million acres of land and sea, home to 540 types of corals, 1,000 types of coral fish and 700 types of mollusks. It makes Raja Ampat as the most diverse living library for world’s coral reef and underwater biota. Beside that, Raja Ampat has a beautiful scenery, especially from its underwater corals and its beach. 
Under the water of Raja Ampat Island, we can see many natural coral’s reef that never touched by human. We can also see many fishes that have many colors and types. They usually hide between the coral reefs to take a rest or brood their eggs. Not only that, we can see many war planes and ships that sunken in World War II
Because of its beautiful underwater scenery, many tourists come to Raja Ampat island. They come from Indonesia or from the other country. They come to Raja Ampat by plane or by ship, but most tourists go to Raja Ampat by plane to shorten their trip time.
There are many things that you can see also beside the underwater scenery. You can meet many fishermen around the beach, some of them become the tourist guide for the foreign tourists. The fishermen are very friendly and they will offer you “Pinang” (betel nuts) or some sweet candies.





Explanation Text
GLOBAL WARMING

Global warming is an increase in the temperature of the earth’s surface and are the result of the green house effect. The green house effect is a term to define trapped carbon dioxide which causes the earth to the heat. Then, the global warming will much more and the climate on the earth will continue to be hotter. You certainly feel that the current temperatures on earth are so hot during the day. Then, we all must be thinking that there is a problem with the climate change where everything becomes unpredictable. The season that occurs in our earth cannot be predicted anymore as happened a few years ago. You need to know that those irregularities are caused by global warming.
In detail, the global warming caused by human activity. Today, there are so many factories are built. It means that they are going to produce carbon dioxide as their waste. When they are built more and more, then the more carbon dioxide is produced. Meanwhile, plant is the only element that can absorb the carbon dioxide and then convert it into oxygen. However, the plants that are on the earth continue to decrease due to illegal logging, forest fires, and the diversion of forest as a place of human lodging area. All of those makes the number of plants continue to decrease and are not able to absorb all the carbon dioxide maximally. As a result, carbon dioxide trapped in the earth and makes our earth becomes hotter. One of the visible effects of global warming is the polar ice continues to melt so they can flood the coast line in the entire world.
There are various things you can do to combat the global warming. First, planting at least one tree on your yard. When one home has one tree, then from 1000 homes, there will be 1000 trees. It was almost the same as a large forest area. Then, the tree that you plant in the yard, can make your home comfortable and cool. Therefore, soon after you are read this article, then plant any tree in front of your house and do not cut down the trees carelessly.
Second, you are advised to reduce the use of private vehicles. Of course you know that vehicles produce carbon dioxide. A growing number of private vehicles, makes the carbon dioxide is produced much more than before. Meanwhile, carbon dioxide is the main cause of global warming. It requires us to use public transport instead of private vehicles so that the number of private vehicles using can be reduced. Third, you should use a home ventilation rather than air conditioning. When you use the air conditioning, then there will be a CFC gas and it makes global warming intensity increases. Use the adequate ventilation, then planting a few trees in your yard, so it will make your house cooler.

4. Idiom
It is a phrase that has group of words with a different meaning from the meaning of all the individual word.
Example :
1. Pull your sock up. (improve your behaviour)
2. You can arrange your bedroom at will. (sesuka hati)
3. Don’t mention it. (You’re welcome)

2. Riddle
Riddle is the kind of poem that describe something without knowing what is that and leave readers to find out what has described.
Riddle can be anything like animal or an object. And there is no rule about the structure of the riddle. It can be funny but it depends to the author.
